Bradford applies many layers of these materials on the surface of his canvases, and then cuts, tears, and sands them down to create his artwork. Imagine the Impossible with The Southern California Library
Workshops |The Southern California Library documents and makes accessible histories of struggles that challenge racism and other systems of oppression so we can all imagine and sustain possibilities for freedom. The Southern California Library is a community library and archive located in South Los Angeles. Founded over 50 years ago, the Library holds extensive collections of histories of community resistance in Los Angeles, and beyond. Create collages and abstract pieces and more in the style of artists Sam Gilliam, Alma Thomas, and Romare Bearden; create a redacted poem with selections from the Library’s archive; take a quiz that that highlights the historical context ofSoul of a Nation。

The Broad's Family Weekend Workshops offer free activities and workshops to engage with the art of The Broad museum as well as with acclaimed chef Timothy Hollingsworth of Otium, the restaurant adjacent to the museum. Workshops give families the opportunity to make their own creative souvenirs to take home, inspired by the Broad collection. Family Weekend Workshops are free but have limited availability. Entrance is not guaranteed without a reservation.家庭周末研讨会are presented by Leading Partner East West Bank with support from Van Cleef & Arpels, and were developed in partnership with Community Arts Resources (CARS).
